Himalayan Drokpa Community
Learning about the Himalayan Drokpa community was enough reason for me to explore the adventurous Beema village along the Indus route. A community that’s believed to be the lost tribe of Alexander the Great, they are seen dressed in a distinctive style with vibrant flowers adorning their head. Walking through the remote village and meeting some of them made the trip very special – for my interest in portrait photography germinated here.
