A Learning
This portrait to me serves as a periodic reminder to the sensitivities involved in casual photography. .
Looking away, he seemed rather reluctant to pose for a bunch of tourists at a monastery in Leh. I resisted the temptation to take a picture, and walked past with an incomprehensible blur on my head. Finding him more relaxed at the same spot on my way back, I signalled to him with a request for a photograph, and he flashed an instant smile. The word ‘CONSENT’ was a sharp nail down my head indeed, clearing all the blur!
